In versions older than Scratch Live 1.7.0 Crate files are written here (not subcrates). Not to worry, all your crates are saved in the Subcrates folder. If you are running a later version of Serato DJ or have never run Scratch Live you may not have this folder. This folder exists for backwards compatibility reasons. This preference file remembers the state of the users subcrates / crates (ie collapsed or not). Close Serato software and remove this file if you are having issues, the file will be rebuilt the next time you launch the software. All folders and tracks move to the Imported folder. There are instructions on how to install a separate version of Serato on your laptop. I wouldn’t recommend Beta software for a live gig. I’ve never experienced these issues myself while DJing weddings in Toronto – knock on wood. ![]() The most notable fix is for the kernel panics seen with SL-4, Sixty-Two and the Sixty-One.
